VisualBase 10 is the maintained product line built on the established VisualBase web portal and desktop architecture. It is in Mainstream Support until 31 March 2029, followed by Extended Support until 31 March 2031.
Capabilities
- Web portal and desktop application engine.
- Workflow/approvals, runtime development/programming tools, audit trail, documents, notifications, dashboards, reporting, multilingual UI, and integrations.
- The portal runs on .NET Framework 4.8.1 with ASP.NET Web Forms, DevExpress 25.2.7, Crystal Reports 13.0.4000, ASP.NET Identity/Owin, and SQL Server.
Maintenance updates
- DevExpress components were upgraded to 25.1.5 and 25.1.6 in November 2025, and later to 25.2.7.
- Maintenance updates through September 2026 covered portal compatibility, memory use, DevExpress, and URL handling.
Limitations
- Windows Server/IIS and .NET Framework are required for the portal. Support applies only on Windows versions that Microsoft still supports and Visualsoft has certified.
- Crystal Reports and desktop components are Windows-specific.
- VisualBase 10 does not use the modular .NET 8/10 architecture of VisualBase 11 and 12.
- Customer-specific customizations, reports, database changes, browsers, and identity integrations require regression testing.
