Visualsoft Products Lifecycle Policy

Last reviewed 13 Oct 2026

Visualsoft publishes lifecycle status, technology dependencies, release notes, and support boundaries for each VisualBase product line. Customer-specific deployment history is available through controlled support records and is not published publicly.

Lifecycle states

StateMeaning
PreviewEvaluation only; features and interfaces may change.
BetaSupported for controlled testing/pilots; not a general-availability commitment.
General Availability (GA)Approved for production deployment under the applicable agreement.
Mainstream SupportSecurity, defect, compatibility, and operational support within the documented stack.
Extended SupportSecurity/critical fixes and paid assistance; feature development is normally excluded.
End of SupportNo routine fixes. Upgrade or an explicitly contracted exception is required.

Current lifecycle register

Visualsoft provides five years of Mainstream Support from the approved product baseline, normally followed by two years of Extended Support. Existing customer commitments may be grandfathered. Support always depends on an approved and vendor-supported technology stack.

Status as of 13 October 2026.

If your agreement with Visualsoft says otherwise, your agreement applies.

Visualsoft support dates apply only to supported product builds running on operating systems, runtimes, databases, browsers and third-party components approved in the applicable support matrix. Visualsoft may require a compatibility update or migration when an underlying technology reaches end of support.

Previous products

Earlier Visualsoft products are no longer listed in the register above:

  • VisualERP 1.0 to 5.0
  • Visualsoft Business 1.0 to 4.0

Their release years and the support dates published at the time are kept in the previous version of this policy: /products-lifecycle-policy/archive. Customers who use one of these products and need their support position confirmed should contact Visualsoft at info@visualsoft.com or +966 92 000 8720.

Support conditions

  • Support applies only to documented operating systems, runtimes, databases, browsers, third-party components, and deployment topologies.
  • A third-party vendor ending support may require Visualsoft to change a compatibility statement or require an upgrade.
  • Security fixes may require moving to the latest supported maintenance release.
  • Custom code, customer infrastructure, unsupported database changes, or modified packages may require separate assessment.
  • Beta and pre-release versions are not general-availability releases and are not approved for general production use unless a written pilot agreement permits it.
  • Extended Support requires an active support agreement and a Visualsoft-approved environment.
  • VisualBase 8 and 9 require a certified supported-runtime uplift, because Microsoft support for .NET Framework 4.6.2 ends on 12 Jan 2027.
  • VisualBase 12 will receive an in-version runtime uplift before Microsoft support for .NET 10 ends on 14 Nov 2028. This does not shorten the VisualBase 12 support period.
  • Customer deployment dates are taken from controlled deployment records.
